Kate Whitworth is an engaging real estate broker whose education and professional background make her a standout in the industry. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Planning, Kate’s knowledge and insights extend beyond just the property market; she intuitively understands the symbiotic relationship between the real estate market and the broader urban and suburban landscapes. In addition, her MBA in Finance underscores her strong analytical skills and her ability to expertly guide her clients through the financial aspects of their sale or purchase transaction.
Kate’s previous career as a manager of condo buildings and associations uniquely positions her to provide valuable insights into condominium living, and to skillfully guide her clients as they review Homeowner Association declarations, by-laws, and financial statements. Early in her professional journey, Kate also worked in customer service in the food and retail industries—where she developed the successful client-centric approach that she now brings to her Dream Town clients. Undaunted by challenges and the ever-changing Chicagoland real estate market, Kate is a creative problem solver who builds enduring client relationships based upon her honesty, integrity and authenticity.
On a more personal level, Kate and her husband are avid do-it-yourselfers, tackling projects like a complete kitchen remodel in their first home. Having done the work from the ground up, literally - from laying floor tile to installing cabinets - she is a great resource for clients considering a home that needs updating. She is a keen negotiator and a patient communicator who goes above-and-beyond to ensure that her clients have the data and knowledge they need to make informed decisions at each step of their journey.
A strong believer in supporting her community, Kate is actively involved with her local elementary school as a soccer coach and parent volunteer. She also devotes time and energy to a variety of community groups. Outside of work and volunteering, Kate does her best to “stay out of the kitchen.” We’re talking pickleball here! She is an avid player of America’s fastest growing sport and enjoys intense volleys on court, at the kitchen line!
