About the Building
The Mentor Building is a historic 17-story tower located in downtown Chicago. It was originally constructed in 1906. The classic brick architecture disguises a wealth of contemporary living spaces and modern on-site conveniences. Plus, an amazing location in the heart of the Loop puts residents just two blocks from Millennium Park, the Art Institute, State Street shopping and dozens of restaurants, cafés and bars.
Units in the Mentor Building are quite unique because many of the condos have been rehabbed and remodeled at different periods. There are sleek, state-of-the-art duplexes and moderate one-bedroom layouts. Some units are decked out with wall-to-wall upgrades while others are modestly updated with comfortable style.
Just as the condo sizes and floor plans at Mentor Building vary, the prices for properties range greatly, too. There are 700 square-foot condos with one-bedroom and one-bath arrangements currently available in the low $200,000s. Some three bedroom places with two bathrooms are listed for just under $1 million. And in the mid-range are two-bedroom, two-bath condos in the $400,000s. Building amenities include a fitness center, bike room, additional storage, roof top deck and parking is available.
Surrounding the Mentor Building, situated at 6 East Monroe Street, are several Chicago attractions and universities. There are El stops in every direction from the condo and blocks of eateries for quick-bites. A sprawling expanse of green that leads to the lakefront is just across Michigan Avenue. And some of the city's most popular theaters are right next door.
