In a world seemingly all too consumed with "turning the next deal," what a breath of fresh air to find a true professional who genuinely takes the time to understand what makes you tick and how best to find the right fit for you. Lauren is a professional in the full sense of the word. She works tirelessly, literally 24/7, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, whatever it takes to ensure that you have a soft landing as you transition from one home to your next residence. Whether it is unpacking your questions or translating the confusing lingo of real estate contracts into the simple and elegant or connecting you to her network of proven professional tradesman, attorneys, bankers, etc., she takes full ownership of the real estate process. While her work ethic is unlike any other real estate professional I have personally worked with, it is really her integrity and judgement under the stress of the negotiation that showed how she sets herself apart from the rank and file agents out there. She gained the most respect from me when she gave me advice on how to proceed in the final steps of the negotiation even at the expense of losing the deal because it was the RIGHT thing to do. She placed my interest ahead of anything else and as such won herself an advocate and loyal client for this purchase and the ones to follow. While you may have a real estate agent you have worked with in the past or have been given a name as a casual referral by a friend, you may be well served to at least do an introductory discovery call with Lauren to see for yourself the tangible difference she can make for you in the real estate process. I suspect you will come away with the same impression that I had... a well served client with peace of mind that I was in the hands of a real pro who had my back ... thank you Lauren.

Lauren was very easy to work with in selling my condo! Communication was prompt and she gave me good recommendations for painters and home staging. She used to live in the building so I felt comfortable with her knowledge of the building and the neighborhood.

Lauren was excellent in the sale of my condo in January of 2019. Before the engagement, she ran through her pitch which was very detailed and transparent. For me, the sales pitch set the table for what was needed to be done to make the asset the most marketable. It worked because the condo was on the market for only a week. In my case, she was also the communication hub for the before, during and after the engagement from dealing with the various contractors, condo association personal, and the usual broker duties. Lauren went above and beyond, and I would highly recommend her for any of your real estate needs.

"Lauren is tops!!! Our family is so grateful for Lauren's partnership in selling our previous home and finding and purchasing our new home. In this market, we feared selling our home, located in the great, but strongly impacted and still developing area of Bronzeville, would be daunting. While selling was daunting at times, Lauren made the process as effective, efficient, and easy as possible. For buying, you can add ""enjoyable"" to the list as well. We met Lauren at an open house she was hosting for a property in the South Loop, one of the areas we were considering moving to. Initially we met her only briefly; she was assisting other clients, and her financing partner, Jim Pomposelli (who I also recommend; see my review for him), was kind to show us around. Lauren followed up with us the following day and really impressed us with her kindness and diligence. We found out that not only did she have insight to the South Loop, she had knowledge and experience with Bronzeville and the West Loop/Greektown, the other area we were interested in. We met with Lauren and she put together a comprehensive, thoughtful, and ultimately effective plan for selling our home. While we were on the market for about 6 months, Lauren actually secured contracts for our place within days of being active on the market. We just ended up going through the sale process 3 times. Despite pre-approval, our first two buyers during the final stages of underwriting could not secure financing. Lauren was very agile and supportive through these stages and effective at getting us info and getting everything back on track when things fell through. Even at 6 months on the market, though, it was still less time than we expected to be on the market. In the end, we ended up with a great buyer and experienced a seamless, satisfactory sale. Finding a home with Lauren was so simple. She was so personable and engaged, that she really keyed in quickly to what we were looking for. The South Loop and West Loop were much hotter markets when we were buying and places were going for less of a deal and they were going pretty quick. That said, she found us a place (in the West Loop) that we instantly knew was ""home"" with no compromises. In fact, we ended up with a few more amenities than we expected and a location that truly could not be more ideal for us. We have owned our new home for just over 3 months and we still can't get over how fortunate our find was. Truly, we are so fortunate to have met Lauren, because she was essential in making the process so wonderful. Thanks Lauren!

Lauren Bergiel is an incredibly dedicated and knowledgeable realtor! From our first conversation to the day of our closing, Lauren answered all of our questions- big and small. She was easy to get a hold of via phone, text or email. Lauren truly made the buying process as simple as possible. I never felt rushed or pressured by Lauren. As a matter of fact, she spent well over an hour during our initial meeting explaining all of the essential steps in purchasing a home. During this meeting, Lauren asked the questions that eventually guided her in finding us our dream home. She always tried to accommodate our schedules and needs. My husband and I were in a bit of a rush to start looking as soon as we got our pre-approval letter. Lauren rearranged her plans in order to take us out for our first showing that very weekend. She also set up a large number of showings that morning/afternoon so as best to utilize our time. We actually put in an offer on one of the homes we saw that same day. Lauren had done a great job of determining exactly what we were looking for, and arranging the viewings for the day in a manner that helped us compare the homes that met our criteria. Now, being all settled in about 6 weeks after closing, I can say this IS the perfect home for us! I'm very pleased with Lauren's service on my first home purchase. She is a good listener and a go-doer. In the beginning, she focused on better understanding my situation and my needs and further customized the search criteria based on the information she gathered. My husband and I are first-time homebuyers. Luckily, someone recommended that we call Lauren. Now that we are moved into our beautiful new condo, I can pass on the favor -- she is absolutely wonderful, and I can't recommend her highly enough! Lauren made us feel at ease with the very intimidating process of searching for our new home. At our first meeting, she explained the entire process to us, answering questions we didn't even know we had. Then she asked US questions. Not just about neighborhood and budget, but questions that helped her to truly understand what we were looking for. The best part is that she listened! Lauren really got to know us, and continued to tweak her searches every time we gave her feedback on a listing. Throughout the whole process she was patient and enthusiastic about finding us our home. She was always accessible and responsive, and great about returning calls. On more than one occasion, she went completely out of her way to make sure that we could schedule a showing, and she gave us very thoughtful, candid advice (positive AND negative) about every property we saw together. Not once did she suggest something to us that was even a tiny bit outside our budget. When we did find our dream place, Lauren's experience and great instincts helped us to land it over seven (7!) other bidders. Lauren is the BEST when it comes to finding you your dream home. She was patient, insightful, and did her homework - I was always given honest advice after every showing. Being a sellers market, it was very competitive and although it was tough, Lauren never faltered. One gorgeous afternoon we looked at a unit and I knew it had to be mine... Background: I bought a condo in Streeterville as an investment and decided to sell in the summer of 2014. I previously had poor experiences with other agents in the buying process so I was particularly focused on finding an intelligent, proactive, and experienced agent that would give my listing the time/focus that was needed. I interviewed agents from multiple local real estate firms and no one seemed to be the right fit. All the agents either seemed too complacent, not familiar enough with the local market, or would not be able to put enough time/focus on my listing. ?? Connecting with Lauren: a good friend of mine had used Lauren as her buying agent (on her first condo) and had nothing but compliments about Lauren, so I decided to reach out to Lauren myself. Note - I was actually 95% about to give my listing to an agent at another firm but decided to give Lauren a shot after hearing my friend's glowing review. I believe I met with Lauren twice before giving her the listing. In all the interview meetings, Lauren came well prepared, and I felt that I had her full attention/focus. The main reason I decided to give the listing to Lauren was because of her “gusto,” if you will, and her ability to be really personable and upfront. These were attributes that I felt all other agents lacked and were especially important criteria for me as I needed someone with drive/passion for the job along with someone that wouldn't give me any BS. ?? Execution: once Lauren received the listing, she continued to deliver on her promises with full vigor. As my day job is usually 10-12 hours long, I had no time to really focus on the selling process so I asked Lauren to literally take the lead on everything. She helped me contact a staging company and took care of meeting with the stager and installing the staging furniture. Afterwards, she prepared some very thoughtful and attractive marketing materials. This included very professional photos, video, and even a 360-degree panorama from various rooms. She also held multiple open houses. Throughout the entire process, Lauren kept me updated and I was able to comment wherever I was needed.?? End Result: we received a great offer within a week and I accepted after a few rounds of negotiation (with great advice from Lauren). Afterwards, she connected me with a law firm who took care of all the legal work. Lauren kept me up to date throughout the contract timeframe all the way up to closing day. As I reflect back on the selling process in writing this review, I can absolutely say this was a great selling experience for me and a majority of it is due to Lauren's awesome performance. TL;DR - if you didn't bother to read the review above, just take one thing away and that is Lauren has the drive, focus, integrity, and experience to sell your home!
