In late April 2009, we began the search for our new home in Chicago. Flying blind, we drove into the city and grabbed some local real estate magazines. We came across a Dream Town Realty ad and gave them a call. You were the first realtor we spoke to and you made time to see us that very afternoon. To be honest, we were terrified. While we had bought a home before, this was the first time buying in a major metropolitan area. We really didn't know what to expect or what to look for. Determined not to use the first agent we spoke to, we gave you a "test run" and looked at the properties you sent us. You seemed to be working tirelessly to ask us the right questions to get us the right place. You answered every question we asked of you and if you didn't know it you always got back to us within minutes and with vast amounts of info. After the first tour, we got a really good feeling and agreed that you had your finger on the pulse of what we wantedýwithout even knowing what we wanted ourselves!! Turns out, you got it exactly right!! Even when we couldn't decide, you helped us out; giving us pros and cons and then letting us decide for ourselves. You knew so much about each property we toured and if you weren't sure you would ask the listing realtor hard questions to get the facts; good or bad. We couldn't have had a better experience. Where do I begin? Indeed, how does one go about the task of tabulating the myriad ways in which James has facilitated the entire process of purchasing a new home. As first time homebuyers, we had heard horror stories from our friends & relatives about the veritable laundry list of things that could potentially go wrong. With James in our corner, we barely had a single hitch. Throughout it all, from traipsing around the city looking at properties (even on Sundays!), to negotiating with the seller in order to ensure we got the most for our money, to the final stroke of the pen on Closing Day, James was there for us. Regardless of the time of day or day of the week, he was always available to answer our questions - and believe me, we had PLENTY of questions! And his quick wit, coupled with a laid back - yet professional - demeanor kept our minds at ease & assuaged our apprehensions whenever we started to feel the stress mounting. All in all, working with James in buying our condo helped make the entire experience quite easy and relatively hassle - free. To say that I would not hesitate to recommend him to someone looking to become a homeowner is a complete understatement. If you're in the market for a house or condo in the Chicagoland area (even if you're just thinking about it!) you'd be remiss not to have James as your Realtor Extraordinaire. In fact, I would insist upon it.

Zora and I recently worked with Jennifer South in selling Zora's condo and purchasing a new one about four blocks away in the Gold Coast area.
Zora's an attorney and a tough customer to satisfy in general. Both of us were very impressed with Jennifer's ability to quickly establish her credibility and competence. Recently, my wife Madeline and I decided to become "in towners" and purchase a condo in the loop area. As we looked on line at the Dream Town web site, we clicked the question box, entered a question we had and off it went to someone named Violet Jaworska. Little did we know that one click would not only bring us an answer to our questions but also a special person that would touch our lives forever.
Violet turned out to be everything we could ever ask of a realtor. She was the complete professional. In early 2007 I put my condo up for sale in the Lakeview area of Chicago. I used Mark Miles and Bonnie Kirincic-Reyburn as my realtors. My experience with them and with Dreamtown was a success. My condo was under contract in 16 days and the closing happened about 2 months after the initial listing. I felt comfortable dealing with Mark as he really listened to me with regard to how I wanted to price the condo. He added his expert opinions and together we came up with a price that worked. Additionally, Mark and Bonnie went above and beyond to make this real estate transaction smooth and easy for me. For example, the new buyer asked to have the floors sanded before closing. Mark and Bonnie not only had a "floor guy" to recommend, but they also contacted him for me, priced it out and also opened my condo for him to do the work. I did not have to be involved at all and the job was done within days. Also, any correspondence that was needed, they came to my office to pick up and drop off. I work long hours and do not have a lot of extra time during the day for these types of things. With Mark and Bonnie at the helm, I felt well taken care of, and they were ready to solve any issue or snag as soon as it came up. Finally, the communication level with Mark and Bonnie was great. Bonnie was in contact with me multiple times during the negotiations phase and made me feel well informed and reassured. I would recommend Mark and Bonnie, as they exceeded my expectations with their level of service.

I hired Mark Miles to assist me in selling my condo. I marketed my home originally with Mark and then, due to personal reasons, I had to pull my place off the market for a time period. Mark fully understood my situation and was never anything but supportive of me, even though he no longer had the listing. If you are looking for someone who will listen to what you want then Karen is the realtor for you. We relocated from VA and didn't know anything about the Chicago neighborhoods - we only knew we wanted to be in the city and have access to public transport. As first time home-buyers, we began the process of looking for a house with absolutely no idea what we were doing or what we were looking for - so thank goodness we had Violet! From beginning to end, she was a truly invaluable resource and extremely competent professional. After the contract was signed, Violet continued to keep us all on track, reminding us of deadlines and recommending the other professionals (real estate attorney, mortgage brokers, property inspectors, etc. ) that we would need to find to complete the purchase. Without exception, every person Violet recommended turned out to be top of their industry and consummate professionals; we could not have been more pleased with the service and level of expertise that her recommendations provided us. Violet did everything she possibly could to make our first home purchase as easy and painless as possible, from doing the final walk-through by herself in order to save us time on the day of closing to picking us up when our car broke down in a snowstorm as we were picking up packing supplies! As out of town buyers we really appreciated the time you took to familiarize us with the city. After the time we spent together at the beginning of this process we felt like we had a good understanding of the different neighborhoods. It is hard to put a value on just how important the time you took with us at the beginning was but we felt that you went above and beyond.
In the past we have been inundated with homes to view by our realtors. It was therefore a very refreshing change to be provided exclusively with properties that met our requirements. I want to pass along high regards to Dream Town Realty and my realtor Beverly Bahm. I was a first time homebuyer and consequently found the home buying process overwhelming at times. I stumbled across Dream Town on Google and was pleasantly surprised how user friendly their website was and the vast listings they had, or at least in the South Loop where I was looking. More specifically, one of my favorite features to Dream Town's website (once your logged in) is the View My Favorites link which saves all your favorite listings in one easy to find link on their site. Not rocket science but really helps streamline your search process.
After filling up my favorite list I blindly walked into Dream Town's office and luckily stumbled into Beverly Bahm. Beverly and I worked closely together for 6+ months and I can vouch for her professionalism, real estate knowledge, patience and her ability to successful broker a deal. All those positive attributes were clearly displayed when I/we went to contract in a dicey situation (my call) where the condo building was in the middle of a $4 million lawsuit with its developer. I loved the unit and with Beverly's help we negotiated an equitable deal to help offset the future special assessment. In the end, I realized this was a headache I didn't need and Beverly quickly and smoothly got us out of the contract. Thank God!!!
That experience really took the wind out of my sail but Beverly stuck with me and after hitting the pavement, more showings, I found my dream condo. I've been in my new condo for four months now and couldn't be any happier. 100% customer satisfaction.
