Sports, Leisure, and Recreation In Chicago

Chicago has a lot to offer to people who enjoy being outside or enjoy sports. Chicago has numerous parks and literally hundreds of miles of trails for running, cycling, walking , and rollerblading. The activities available in Chicago don't end there. Many Chicagoans have a vary active lifestyle. They exercise, play sports, and enjoy outdoor activities. There are many parks and facilities in the city that focus on outdoor recreational activities. There are baseball diamonds, basketball courts, hockey rinks, volley ball courts, football fields, as well as ice skating and in-line skating rinks and parks, and tennis courts all over the city. In addition, the lake offers residents and visitors a number of aquatic and boating activities.

Once you start including the suburbs in to the equation, there become a lot more options available for sporting and recreational activities. There is also much to do in nearby Wisconsin and Indiana. For the third largest city in the country, it can be surprising how many outdoor activities there are. There are over 200 parks in the city of Chicago alone, and they are rarely empty.

It can be hard to properly participate in your favorite recreational activity without the proper equipment. You'll want to prepare yourself for you upcoming excursion. If you are playing in one of Chicago's recreational sports leagues, you are going to need the proper equipment, not the ragtag equipment pile that you use in your backyard.
